Laboratory Assistant - (Downer)
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Lab assistant to join Downer, a road surfacing crew in Bathurst NSW. Your role is to help assist road construction materials to make sure they meet quality standards.
What you’ll do in the role:
  • Sample handling
  • Collect or receive materials like asphalt, soil and gravel
  • Label, prepare and store sample correctly
  • Run basic lab tests
  • Follow set procedures and standards for each test
  • Data entry
  • Help keep the lab organised and safe
  • Work closely with senior technicians and supervisors

What is required from you:

  • Lab experience is preferred but not essential
  • Be able to work days and nights
  • Able to pass pre-employment medical
  • Driver’s licence essential
  • Whitecard is a must
  • Have great teamwork and reliability
  • Attention to detail
  • Safety focused
